Introduction
This unit on our state’s role in the Philadelphia Constitutional Convention of 1787 is aimed at senior high school students, but possesses sufficient flexibility for application at the junior high level. It is designed to fit into general survey courses in American History , American Government, Civics, Legal Studies, and, of course, Connecticut History. It is intended for a teaching period of one week. Some teachers, however, may discover that the teaching concepts and the wealth of materials lend themselves to an extended time allotment.
