Phonological Awareness/Phonics Objectives/Indicators of Mastery
Rhyming
:
Students will recognize and produce rhyming words; hear and begin blending onsets and rimes.
Sounds
: Students will identify initial, medial and final consonant sounds in words
Segment/Blend
: Students will segment and blend words sound by sound
.
Spelling
: Students will use knowledge of letters and sounds to write words.
Fluency Objectives/Indicators of Mastery
Oral language/fluency: Students will read grade-appropriate poems and will repeat them aloud with classmates with appropriate phrasing, expression, volume, and speed.
