To determine what information and what misinformation students already have
To see AIDS as more than just a illness AIDS also brings up emotional issues, sexuality, death, and intolerance
Objective
To introduce the subject of AIDS and to clarify the focus of the curriculum and to see how the issues are related.
Procedure
Ask the students to brainstorm what comes to mind when they think of AIDS. Then, question the student to see how their ideas are related to others. Develop on the board the themes that surround AIDS.
