As a way to motivate and stimulate interest in reading, this unit will look at the mystery, more specifically, the works of Agatha Christie. The unit will examine her plays, “The Mousetrap” and “Ten Little Indians,” her classic suspense novel, “The Murder of Roger Ackroyd” and several short stories. In addition, students will view movies that have been made from her works and discuss them critically. The unit will emphasize the interest and fun to be found in reading, especially mysteries.
