The
perimeter
of a polygon is the distance around the “rim” or edge of the figure. Linear units such as inches, feet, meters or miles are used to measure perimeter. To find the perimeter of a polygon, add the lengths of all its sides.
Example:
Find the perimeter of a room that is 23 feet long and 15 feet wide.
Solution:
Perimeter 23 23 15 15 76 feet
