Objective
Students will be able, through the use of creative writing, to journey to Africa and experience the horrors of being subjected to the middle passage.
Materials
Pen/pencil and paper
Procedures

1. The class will review material pertaining to slave capture and the middle passage.

2. Students will write in the first person singular.

3. Students will express how they are feeling in the midst of these traumatic experiences.
Results
While writing, students will make the kidnapping and the transporting personal. Students will write how they would feel and react in that particular situation.
