GOALS AND OBJECTIVES:
1. To integrate science and math through the study of ecosystems.
2. To increase student awareness of the natural relationship of science and math.
3. To heighten student environmental consciousness by the introduction of ecological theory and concept.
4. To foster student extraction of mathematical concepts from basic, ecosystem-related experiments and discussions.
5. To reinforce mathematical skills inherent in calculations involved in ecosystem study.
6. To apply math to the problems of ecology such as waste disposal, recycling, and conservation of natural resources.
