Objective
The students will debate the merits of Proposition 187.
Strategy
The teacher will have already taught about the provisions in the Proposition 187 law. The teacher will make the students aware of the controversy the law.
Activities
The students will be divided into two groups, one for and the other against the law. They will decide the merits of their side or the argument. Then, they will choose 2 people from group to debate the issue with the other team.
