Objectives: To compare and contrast two books about friendship using a Venn Diagram

Materials:
-books: Matthew and Tilly by Rebecca C. Jones

My Best Friend by P. Mignon Hinds

-transparency or chart with Venn Diagram

-blank copy of Venn Diagram for students

Procedures:

1. Read Matthew and Tilly and discuss.
2. Read My Best Friend and discuss.
3. Complete a Venn Diagram similar to the one below comparing and contrasting both stories.
