Buttons are used as an alternative to simple text links. Buttons enhance the look of a page and also helpful to people with low vision a larger target.
However, sites utilizing buttons by themselves are a problem for persons with visual disabilities.
Many sites, utilize clickable buttons to provide the user with a better idea about their destination. When an active image is included on the button, Lynx users will simply see the word "image" but will not known what a location it represents. The solution to this problem is to include ALT Text which describes the function. In addition, it is often helpful to add an external text label in square brackets.
